Skilled Construction Technician – Lead Comprehensive Residential Remodeling and Carpentry

Job Overview

  • Company: JNE Homes LLC.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $27 to $32 per hour plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Travel Required (Kalamazoo, MI).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: Residential Construction / Remodeling.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required (Builders license is a bonus).

The Opportunity You will be the backbone of our field operations, executing complex residential remodeling tasks with precision and expert technical knowledge. This role empowers you to take ownership of diverse construction projects while working for a company that prioritizes quality and provides the support needed to succeed. You will have the autonomy to manage your workflow independently while contributing to a team that takes immense pride in delivering high-end finished products.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute professional flooring installations including LVP, carpet, and linoleum with precise transitions and trim.

  • Install high-quality interior and exterior doors, cabinetry, and custom countertops to meet remodeling specifications.

  • Performing framing projects for interior walls, window openings, and subfloor replacements using accurate material lists.

  • Perform critical deck and railing repairs to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic consistency.

  • Maintain residential utility systems through professional plumbing repairs and basic HVAC maintenance tasks.

  • Coordinate the installation of hardware and fixtures to provide the final professional touch on finished homes.

  • Collaborate with the broader field team by assisting with drywall and painting to maintain project momentum.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling.
