Job description

Job Title: Superintendent
Division/Department: Construction
Manager: Construction Regional Director
Posting Date: November 2025

We are currently looking for a Superintendent for our projects (current and in-development) in the Houston and
greater Houston areas. The current project is a 15–18-month project with additional projects in the greater Houston area to follow. There could be potential travel for short periods of time.
Essentially the Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction
sites, ensuring that project(s) is(are) are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the standards of the company and its clients. This role involves managing all on-site activities, including coordinating subcontractors, monitoring site safety, and liaising with project stakeholders that might be internal or external. The Superintendent ensures compliance with legal, contractual, and company requirements while maintaining strong relationships with
clients, subcontractors, and employees.
An extensive background in concrete forming, rebar placing, concrete placing, concrete finishing is strongly recommended for this position. Experience
in different concrete forming systems is encouraged. In addition, one must have intricate knowledge in building
lay out. This is in addition to having the ability to read blueprints and possessing leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities

Worksite management
Ensure organization and cleanliness of job site
Read, analyze and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Coordinate inspections by various professionals (soil engineers, building inspectors, etc.)
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Ensure the company’s standards of quality are upheld in all aspects of the projects
Organize and direct daily meetings with foremen or subcontractors related to operations
Control the supply and safe storage of materials, equipment and tools
Execute layout of building based off surveyors provided lay out
Ensure conformity and quality of work, materials and products in order to accelerate the release of
holdbacks on contracts
Prepare, organize, and distribute information from the project site to the project manager such as RFIs,
daily reports/logs, timecards, etc. through the use of software such as Microsoft Office and Procore.
Communicate with subcontractors, team members, and ownership in a professional and workman like
manner
Participate in work planning with the project manager
Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all team members
Personnel management
Effectively manage the site, foremen, survey crew, subcontractors and site personnel.
Participate sporadically in the recruitment of personnel
Promote and ensure compliance with the safety program among staff and participate in improvement
measures.
Encourage performance, good working relationships, respect and team spirit.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a site lead (Foreman, Superintendent, etc.)
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a concrete forming Carpenter Foreman.
ESSENTIAL: Intricate knowledge of concrete forming systems, placing and finishing concrete,
executing lay out.
Ability to execute lay out of buildings and other structures.
Preferable knowledge in building finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes of work
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for work tasks.
Familiarity with regulations specific to various trades.
Valid health and safety training for construction job sites (WHMIS, Working at Heights, etc.).
Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards through OSHA training and practical experience.
Ability to manage and lead teams in a professional and workmanlike manner.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Project and Procore
Understanding of and ability to implement all health and safety standards on project sites
Valid driver's license.
Carpenter certification considered an asset.
