Job description

Diversified Construction is seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer to support our commercial construction projects throughout the Twin Cities area.

This is a hands-on, varied position for someone who enjoys working in construction and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Our General Laborers work closely with our Project Superintendents and help keep projects moving by taking care of the many tasks that come up on an active construction site.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

ยท Jobsite cleanup and maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment

ยท Light demolition and removal of construction debris

ยท Installation and adjustment of door hardware and other miscellaneous building components

ยท Moving, loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment

ยท Picking up and delivering materials, parts and supplies to jobsites

ยท Assisting with protection of existing finishes and preparation of work areas

ยท Performing minor repairs, punch-list items and miscellaneous construction tasks

ยท Assisting Superintendents and subcontractors as needed

ยท Helping prepare jobsites for inspections, owner walkthroughs and project turnover

ยท General maintenance and organization of jobsites

ยท Performing other construction-related duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent

Qualifications

ยท Dependable and able to report to work on time

ยท Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction

ยท Comfortable working independently or as part of a team

ยท Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred

ยท Construction experience is helpful, but we are willing to consider candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn

ยท Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting and carrying materials and working on your feet throughout the day

ยท Ability to work safely and follow jobsite safety requirements

ยท Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation

ยท Professional and respectful when working around customers, subcontractors and other employees
