We are currently hiring for a Traveling Superintendent, a key role that helps lead our projects and maintain our high standards across multiple locations.

Position Overview:

As a Traveling Superintendent, you'll play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the on-site construction of commercial projects from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all on-site activities for ground-up commercial projects, coordinating subcontractors and managing daily operations from site preparation to completion.

  • Quality Assurance: Uphold strict quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring that all work meets or surpasses expectations.

  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain on-site work schedules, coordinating subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project goals.

  • Safety: Prioritize and enforce on-site safety protocols and regulations.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site construction issues promptly, implementing practical solutions to maintain project momentum and efficiency.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary on-site liaison, facilitating clear and timely information exchange between subcontractors, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and resolve issues promptly.

  • Field Management: Provide day-to-day oversight on project sites, communicating with subs and trades.

  • Logistical Coordination: Manage supplies, materials, equipment, and personnel efficiently.

  • Motivation: Demonstrate ability to motivate subs and trades to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles creatively.

  • Other duties as assigned: Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the successful completion of projects and organizational objectives

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in ground-up commercial construction, with at least 5 years of site development experience.

  • Extensive hands-on construction experience, with in-depth knowledge of building methods and processes.

  • Strong understanding of how to physically construct buildings and structures.

  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day project operations, including field management and logistical coordination

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding specifications, and effectively managing construction workflows.

  • Demonstrated expertise in coordinating supplies, materials, equipment, and personnel on construction sites.

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with subcontractors and trades, as well as with the Project Manager and other Construction Leadership.

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow and enforce client and company policies and procedures.

  • Experience in healthcare, hospitality, retail, self-storage, and multifamily sectors preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification

  • Blue Card Environment Certification

  • Experience with Blue Beam, GCP, Sage SCM, or other similar construction management systems.

  • Prior experience as a subcontractor or tradesman expert

  • Bilingual (Oral & Written English required, Oral Spanish strongly preferred).

Travel Requirements:

  • This position is based in Atlanta, GA and will be required to travel to designated locations within the Eastern US.
