Job description

Overview:

Cash Construction is now hiring a General Utility Superintendent to work out of their main location in Pflugerville, TX!

Oversees site operations across multiple projects, leading utility crews and coordinating with project and upper management to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget. Serves as a liaison between pipe crews and leadership, strong collaboration across teams, bringing strong expertise in wet utility construction and professional field leadership.
 

Duties may vary according to client and project size along with varying degrees of responsibility and authority. 

This position offers a bonus plan, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance + fuel card + toll tag.

Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position, based at our site in the Austin, TX/Pflugerville, TX area. Minimal travel to other job sites throughout the region is required for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote and comply with all Company and Safety policies and procedures. (Safety is one of the primary drivers for success.)
  • Must be able to perform all the duties required of a Superintendent Level I, II, and III.
  • Supervise overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of sub-contractors and field staff. Coordinate and supervise construction activities.
  • Monitor crew sizes. Ensure crews have resources needed for tasks at hand.
  • Equipment Logistics.
  • QA on projects.
  • Resource Schedule Management. Crew and Equipment.
  • Ensure Project Schedules.
  • Hire field personnel as needed. Review applications, interviews, make final deals, etc.
  • As needed, serve as mentor and trainer for Level I and Level II Superintendents.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems.
  • Use and maintain schedules to measure time and production to meet requirements.
  • Keep records in a systematic, well-organized fashion.
  • Seek ways to improve productivity analysis provided by Project Manager.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to large employee groups, owners, or engineers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Interview, hire and train direct reports, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance; reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice.
  • Grow Area of Operations.
Qualifications:
  • Ten years’ experience/knowledge in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of and how to install all types of pipes. (PVC, DIP, FRP, HDPE, Fusible PVC)
  • Experience in Deep Excavations and Shoring. (30+ Feet Deep)
  • Waste/Wastewater treatment plant work experience. (Lift/Pump Stations, Yard Piping, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 is a plus
  • Ability to Attract Top Talent
  • Bilingual is preferred.
