RLM Underground is a rapidly growing, full-turnkey telecommunications construction contractor serving projects across the United States. Founded in 2016, RLM has expanded from underground telecom construction into full-service operating support, with multiple regional offices and partnerships with both major and emerging telecom providers nationwide. 

  • Must reside in Kentucky or within a reasonable daily commuting distance, ideally near the Springfield area. 
  • Relocation is not being considered for this role 
  • We are not working with agencies for this hire

Position Summary:

RLM Underground seeks a motivated and experienced Construction Manager. The CM will be responsible for construction sites and employee and crew safety. The CM must be experienced in undergroundand/or aerial telecommunications, construction, and management. The goal is to ensure that all customer needs are being met. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees construction sites to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
  • Responsible for customer and homeowner relations.
  • Assists customers and homeowners with complaints and restoration concerns.
  • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved documents and procedures.
  • Ensures that the project is completed in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Lead and direct ground crews daily.
  • Develops redline and daily reports.
  • Responsible for procurement at jobsites including straw, seed, cutters, shovels, batteries, tarps, paint, etc.
  • Monitors schedule updates.
  • Maintains cleanliness of job sites, company equipment, and vehicles. 
  • Daily inspections of company vehicles, equipment, and job sites.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in telecom construction, including underground and/or aerial project execution
  • Proven supervisory background with responsibility for directing crews and managing large-scale telecom projects
  • Strong risk assessment and risk management capabilities with a focus on safety and compliance
  • Ability to interpret, implement, and uphold company policies, procedures, and project standards
  • Effective leadership skills, including crew coordination, decision-making, and accountability
  • Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
