Job description

Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Construction Quality Inspector to join our Cleveland Operations Team. The Construction Quality Inspector assist Project Managers and Foremen with knowledge of what and when inspections are to be made.

Performs inspections and completes appropriate inspection forms.

  • Inspections may include:
  • Earthwork and backfill.
  • Concrete and/or grout placement.
  • Receiving inspections.
  • Underground and above ground component placement.
  • M&TE calibration and usage.
  • Welding consumables control.
  • Weld inspections and welder qualifications.
  • Weld tracking and mapping, including any “Red line/ As Built” drawings.

Coordinates with client's QA, any testing or hold points they are required to be involved with.

Coordinates with sub contracted NDE and specialty testing personnel of future tests required.

Involved with and/ or coordinate testing to assure compliance.

Prepares final documentation for turnover package(s).

NOTE: when multiple inspectors are needed (due to size of project or various shifts) a Lead will be appointed to assist with tracking, coordinate testing and organize the documents given by the other inspectors.
