Job description

Lighthouse Technologies is seeking a motivated individual to fill an entry-level Construction Quality Control (QC) Technician position. This role is responsible for supporting the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of telecommunications installations and services. The position requires travel up to 50% of the time. A company vehicle and per diem are provided for all work-related travel.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    The QC tech will conduct inspections and tests on telecommunications equipment, cabling, and installations to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations. This position is also responsible for accurately recording inspection and test results using tools such as JotForm as well as recommending corrective actions to refine QC procedures.

    Required Skills:
  • 12 years of telecommunications knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to be an independent, productive employee
  • Capable of interpreting test results, identifying treads and generating clear and concise reports
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external partners.
  • Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR qualifications
  • Ability to pass nationwide background check and drug screen
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Have a general working knowledge of computers
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Physical Demands:
  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry 80100 lbs
  • Must be comfortable with heights up to 28 feet
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, etc.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry)
  • Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders)
  • Must be able to work in a loud, noisefilled environment out in the field
