Primary Function
The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive quality control program to ensure all construction activities meet contract specifications, design standards, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that all work performed under the contract adheres to the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and compliance.

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized. Actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission, and values.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Oversee all inspection and testing activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship conform to contract standards before acceptance.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and document findings to support continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative for all quality control matters throughout project execution.
  • Ensure that all members of the quality control organization are fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
  • Maintain presence on-site during all phases of contract performance until completion and acceptance of work.
  • Provide training and guidance to QC staff to uphold consistent quality standards across all project activities.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer, Graduate Architect, or Graduate of Construction Management; OR
  • Construction professional with a minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including 5 years in construction quality control on projects similar to this contract.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience on comparable projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and enforce quality control procedures in complex construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • The QC Manager or qualified alternate must be on-site at all times during contract performance until project completion and acceptance.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary clearances and credentials required for access to detention facilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain favorable background investigations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted to the United States for permanentresidence, andmust haveresidedin the United States for the last five years. Time spent abroad on official U.S. Government duty does not interrupt this period.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

  • This position requires full-time on-site presence at the construction location, active engagement with field teams, and coordination with project leadership to ensure compliance and quality assurance throughout all phases of work.
