What this job involves:

As an Associate Project Manager at JLL, you will be a dynamic individual providing reliable, timely, and professional support while assisting with day-to-day project management activities. Working with a group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, you'll manage projects that include interior fit-ups, minor renovations, AV improvements, MEP modifications, network infrastructure modifications, and facilities management and engineering repairs and upgrades. We embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career, and in this role you'll work with the necessary experience and minimal oversight to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. You'll proactively manage project related issues while developing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects, adhering to client KPIs and identifying areas of concern regarding potential risk surrounding project logistics, budget, and scope. This is an on-site position at the JLL client facility in Rochester, MN.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Proactively manage project related issues while developing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects and adhering to client KPIs

  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential risk surrounding project logistics, budget, and scope while ensuring accounts receivable are maintained within approved capital budgets

  • Coordinate and track all Vendor Request For Proposals (RFPs) while interacting and negotiating with contractors and subcontractors

  • Prepare and update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials

  • Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path while coordinating activities of sub-contractors, general contractors, and client vendors

  • Conduct and document all weekly meetings on assigned projects while demonstrating proficiency in Project Development Services technology and ensuring clear communications between project clients and stakeholders during all phases of construction

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field

  • 2-4 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction, real estate, or building infrastructure

  • Basic knowledge of construction, architecture, or commercial real estate industry

  • Ability to prepare and track budgets

  • Understanding of technical requirements for relocation, construction, and renovation projects

  • Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in fast-paced team or independent environment

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to successfully communicate with clients, architects, contractors, client's representatives, and team members

  • Travel estimated at approximately 10%-15%

  • Valid driver's license

  • Physical capabilities to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in construction management or real estate

  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts

  • Familiarity with communication network infrastructure

  • Understanding of interior fit-outs and renovation project processes

  • Experience with vendor management and RFP coordination

  • Understanding of construction scheduling and critical path management

  • Experience with invoice processing and accounts receivable management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Estimated compensation for this position:

67,000.00 - 83,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
