KASA Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Sr Civil Construction Project Manager to lead our Project Management Team in overseeing multi-million-dollar Public Works Construction Contracts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, organizing, and implementing project schedules, while ensuring a seamless transition from pre-construction/estimate phase through project completion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and consultants.
  • High level oversight, multiple projects or complex scopes, leadership/mentoring responsibility.
  • Manage the hiring and negotiation of subcontractors/vendors, including agreements and purchase orders.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance, scheduling, and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Lead project meetings with project teams, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Thoroughly understand contractual obligations and responsibilities for both the company and the owner.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Protect the company's interests by ensuring timely notices for extra work, design changes, delays, and other impacts.
  • Manage project claims in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Oversee project submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings as required.
  • Manage and coordinate on-site staff and project teams.
  • Utilize cost control systems to manage the project budget effectively.
  • Compile financial, schedule, and production reports for the Project Executive.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely payments from owners and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in alignment with project budgets.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents to develop and maintain site logistics plans.
  • Ensure the final product meets KASA Construction's high-quality standards.


The ideal candidate should possess:

  • In-depth understanding of Lump Sum and Unit Price Contracts.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of financial operations and corporate cost control.
  • Proficiency in computer systems with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Strong written communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong math, accounting, and estimating skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and public works projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience managing construction projects.
  • Familiarity with Public Works Projects, Civil Engineering work, and relevant specifications such as Green Book, Public Contract Code, SPPWC, and Caltrans Specs.
  • Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software is a plus.
