Job description

We are a growing construction business under new ownership, seeking a highly motivated and exceptionally organized Project Manager to lead and develop a small team. This individual will take ownership of planning, managing, and optimizing the operational systems that support our projects.

Basic Functions:
● Planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects from start to finish
● Managing budgets, hiring subcontractors, supervising work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
● Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills are essential for this role
● It is important to have an understanding of construction, construction timelines, margins, invoices, expense tracking and invoicing
Basic Requirements:
● 3+ years of experience in restoration or reconstruction
● 1+ years of project management experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
● Computer skills and ability to learn new software
● 1+ years of experience in customer service
● 1+ years of experience multitasking multiple projects
● Experience with insurance compliance, insurance invoicing and insurance collection
● General construction understanding
● Ability to lift 30+ lbs
● Ability to meet clients on-site and navigate homes under construction

Detailed Duties Include:
● Being the customer facing employee for each client and ensuring world class customer service
● Receiving approved estimates from our estimator and scheduling each project with the client
● Creating the margin forecast for each project
● Creating work orders and material orders for each project
● Recruiting construction crews
● Assigning work orders to appropriate crews and negotiating pay
● Working with our estimator and the client’s insurance provider to submit the proper paperwork to invoice, supplement and collect their claim
● Completing client kickoff and client care calls throughout the project
● Tracking project and staying up to date on all documentation, files and internal files
● Tracking and reporting the status of jobs and up-to-date expenses
● Ensuring quality control, including insurance compliance, permit standards and client experience
● Invoicing and collections
● Approving and making payments to subcontractors and crews
● Hitting annual and quarterly revenue, margin and NPS targets
Hours & Location:
● A typical shift for this position is 7:30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
●  Office Location: 10140 West 76th Street, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Project Manager will be assigned to projects throughout the Northwest Metro. Initial training (3+ weeks) is conducted at the Eden Prairie office.  Post training attendance required approximately 1–2 times per week for meetings. Regular travel within a 60+ mile radius of the office is required.
Reward:
● Compensation is evaluated on a yearly basis effective from the start date of employment of each calendar year. An annual reward planner (ARP) is completed at that time.
