Job Summary:
Position works out of the Construction Services Division developing take offs and proposals. Upon receipt of work this position helps coordinate multiple projects from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Directly responsible for planning/preparing all contract administration, executing, and directing project activities, and developing or maintaining client relationships.
  • Responsible for lay out of project work and ensuring that materials, tools, equipment, and information are scheduled timely to meet scope and construction schedules.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to perform take offs, estimations, and proposals.
  • Build and maintain construction project schedules, meeting and exceeding timelines and budgetary goals.
  • Utilize Procore software for seamless field and office interaction.
  • Enter and track proposal activity in company enterprise relationship software.
  • Coordinate other trades that are involved in projects.
  • Assist customer and field personnel with initiating, tracking and documenting change orders.
  • Responsible for reviewing project documents; plans and specifications; resolving construction difficulties; coordinating field project kickoffs/closings; and developing and maintaining client relationships, all within project cost, time, and quality standards.
  • Manage, maintain, and approve all weekly forms and documentation to include but not limited to reports, material requests, billing worksheets, change orders, budgets, and customer updates .
  • Monitor production schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct job walks.
  • Act as a resource to the Specialty Electrical Estimator as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge quoting the installation, configuration and wiring of all types of substation equipment.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently .
  • Must have excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively, in writing and verbally, with customers, peers, management and owners.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Must have superb follow up ability.
  • Must be advanced in utilizing computer for daily recordkeeping, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have the ability to learn Infor Service Management and Procore software.

Work Environment:
  • Must be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Indianapolis, IN.
  • Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, but depending on the scope of works hours outside of business hours may be required.
  • Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations.
  • Blend of office work and customer visits is expected.
  • Able to work flexible hours.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelors or Associate's Degree in Construction Management or Business Management is preferred, but not required.
  • Military experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical construction, account management, or estimating.
  • Experience writing and managing budgets including monthly profit and loss statements.
  • Customer interaction skills experience a plus.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, education verification, motor vehicle report, physical abilities test, an approved hair and urine drug screen, as well as periodic, unannounced random testing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
