We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Project Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of our ongoing heavy civil construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure all project components are aligned and executed according to the project schedule, scope, and budget.
Your keen attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively, and organizational skills will be critical in ensuring that the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently from start to finish. With your coordination expertise, you'll help drive the success of heavy civil projects, ensuring the integrity and safety of the construction process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of heavy civil construction projects, including earthworks, road construction, utilities, and drainage systems

  • Work closely with project managers to monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation

  • Manage communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution of project tasks

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, technical documents, and specifications to ensure all work complies with project requirements

  • Prepare and track progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation

  • Ensure that all work activities are completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

  • Perform site visits to monitor progress, verify work quality, and resolve any issues on-site

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including material and equipment tracking

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders

  • Provide support to project teams by facilitating meetings, ensuring proper documentation, and tracking project milestones

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, specifically within the heavy civil construction industry

  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction processes, including road construction, earthworks, utilities, and drainage

  • Proficiency in using project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar), as well as Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance for heavy civil projects
