Job description

Vice President of Construction Operations - Palm Beach County, FL

WHY YOU WANT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

To lead and drive operational performance across the organization by ensuring all people, departments, projects, and systems execute effectively from Business Development through Project Closeout while supporting profitable, scalable company growth.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Vice President of Construction Operations is responsible for leading and driving all Front of House (FOH) construction operations for a General Contractor specializing in complex commercial, residential, and multi-family construction services.

Reporting directly to the President and working in tandem with the CFO, this executive is responsible for ensuring the company’s operational systems, people, communication, and project execution run effectively from Business Development through Project Closeout.

This is not a systems creation role. The operational structure, processes, and business foundation are already in place. The company is seeking a proven operational leader capable of running the business, holding teams accountable, improving execution, aligning departments, and driving profitability, communication, and overall operational performance.

The ideal candidate is a “Boots to Boardroom” leader with strong operational discipline, field credibility, business acumen, and the ability to lead multiple divisions, teams, and project types simultaneously.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The Vice President of Construction Operations must:

  • Lead with professionalism, urgency, accountability, and controlled energy.
  • Operate as a trusted partner to the President and CFO.
  • Create operational clarity and maintain organizational momentum.
  • Hold teams accountable while developing strong working relationships.
  • Be respected by both field and executive leadership.
  • Lead by example and remain highly engaged in operational performance.
  • Maintain composure and decision-making ability under pressure.
  • Drive execution, not excuses.

If you’re ready for your next strategic step, Florida Construction Connection is the industry-rooted partner that guides construction professionals to aligned roles.
