Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced On-Site Construction Manager / Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for a new construction project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing both ground-up and renovation projects, with strong technical knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with design, schedule, building codes and safety standards
  • Manage daily field operations, subcontractors, in-house workers and inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and MEP contractors to resolve technical issues in the field
  • Obtain and review bids from subcontractors and vendors when needed; negotiate pricing and contract terms to ensure the best value for the project
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the corporate office regarding project progress, issues, and milestones
  • Enforce site safety protocols and ensure all work complies with OSHA standards
  • Review and maintain project schedules, reports, and documentation using construction management software and Office 365 tools
  • Conduct daily site walks, monitor progress, and identify potential delays or risks
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and prepare detailed daily reports

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or On-Site Construction Manager.
  • Extensive experience in both ground-up and renovation projects
  • Strong knowledge of MEP construction and coordination
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Buildertrend, etc.) and Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and budgets effectively
  • OSHA certification preferred
