Job description

The Comfort Group is an award winning mechanical contractor serving clients in Middle Tennessee and North Alabama. We have extensive experience with projects such as: high-rise/urban, aerospace, commercial, education, hospitality, healthcare, laboratory, mission critical, industrial, manufacturing, municipal, multifamily, and others.ย  We are currently seeking candidates for a dependable and organized Logistics Coordinator to support daily material handling and job site logistics operations on active construction projects in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for coordinating deliveries, tracking materials, maintaining organized lay down areas, supporting site safety requirements, and communicating with project teams, vendors, and warehouse personnel.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, capable of working in fast-paced environments, and experienced in construction logistics and material coordination.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate daily delivery schedules with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and logistics teams
  • Receive, inspect, label, unload, and relocate materials to designated lay down areas
  • Verify material counts, pallet conditions, and delivery accuracy
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
  • Operate forklifts and rough terrain equipment (Lull) as needed
  • Report OSDs (overages, shortages, and damages) to vendors, purchasing, and warehouse teams
  • Submit material orders to purchasing when requested
  • Support site safety compliance and report unsafe conditions or violations
  • Attend logistics meetings and daily coordination calls
  • Delegate daily tasks to on-site logistics personnel
  • Assist with crane unloading and material relocation when needed
  • Complete daily stretch-and-flex and Pre-Task Plan (PTP) requirements
  • Track materials using Procore, Excel, Google Sheets, Viewpoint Spectrum, and Microsoft Lists
  • Perform periodic tool and equipment audits
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and work safely on uneven terrain and active job sites

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction logistics, warehouse operations, or material handling preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in fast-paced environments
  • Basic computer skills with experience using Procore, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tracking systems preferred
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain

Work Environment

This position works primarily on active construction job sites and may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to safely navigate active construction areas and follow all company and site-specific safety requirements.
