Position Summary:

Lawrence Group is seeking an Interior Designer with 3–6 years of professional experience to join our St. Louis Workplace team in a full-time position. This position is best suited for a technically strong interior designer who enjoys developing high-quality construction documentation, solving technical challenges, coordinating project information, and supporting project delivery from design concept through construction administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate Revit documentation while collaborating with project managers, senior designers, consultants, and clients throughout project execution.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Produce complete, accurate interior construction document packages utilizing Revit and BIM 360, including: Interior floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans and finish schedules, interior elevations and enlarged plans, construction details, furniture plans, specifications, and documentation.
  • Support and assist architectural, consultant information within BIM models while maintaining project quality and documentation standards.
  • Prepare finish, furniture, and material documentation and assist with furniture planning, specification, coordination.
  • Participate in quality control reviews, implement redline revisions, and maintain project documentation throughout the design and construction process.
  • Support Construction Administration through RFIs, ASIs, submittal and shop drawing reviews, field observations, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
  • Assist Project Managers and Senior Designers with production schedules, workload planning, project coordination, and technical problem-solving.
  • Support design presentations through finish selections, renderings, and visualization materials as needed.
  • Deliver accurate, coordinated construction documents with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, communicate effectively with project teams, and contribute to efficient project delivery.
  • Embody a growth mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively and be a team member.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture from an accredited institution.
  • NCIDQ certification, or actively pursuing licensure, preferred.
  • 3–6 years of professional experience with a commercial architecture or interior design firm. Workplace, corporate interiors, or tenant improvement experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building construction, interior detailing, building systems, finish materials, furniture integration, and applicable building codes.
  • Experience documenting existing conditions, field verification, applying building codes, and supporting projects through Construction Administration.
  • Excellent technical production, organization, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position requires no minimum ability to lift, bend or stand.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical Monday-Friday work schedule.
