Interface Coordinator - Piping/Plumbing
Location: Greenville, SC or Houston, TX (preferred)
Pay Rate: Hourly

Overview:
DataSoft Technologies, Inc. seeks a Interface Coordinator - Piping/Plumbing for the SRPPF project. This dual-role involves overseeing interface management and advanced piping design/engineering. The position can be based in Houston or Greenville. Engineers preferred, but experienced designers and specialists with the relevant skills will be considered.
Responsibilities:
  • Interface Management:
    • Define and manage interaction points between project components.
    • Ensure clear communication and resolve conflicts between teams.
    • Maintain accurate records of interfaces and agreements.
    • Develop and implement interface management strategies.
    • Conduct regular meetings and teleconferences with stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Piping Design/Engineering:
    • Plan, organize, and coordinate specialized engineering and multi-discipline team projects during planning, design, and construction phases.
    • Lead and supervise piping design activities, providing technical guidance.
    • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications related to pipe routing, layout, stress analyses, hanger design, and P&ID development.
    • Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software for drafting and modeling.
    • Analyze and solve complex technical problems related to piping systems.
    • Develop and review specifications and design criteria.
    • Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and clients.
    • Ensure compliance with project quality plans, scope, and schedules.
    • Support procurement, construction administration, and project reporting.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in interface management or piping design, with a proven track record on large projects.
  • Degree in Engineering preferred but not required with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in P&IDs, stress analysis, and material selection.
  • Experience with EPC services, large industrial projects, and advanced piping design.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized engineering design (nuclear experience preferred).
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
  • PMP certification is recommended.
Skills:
  • Proactive, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software, stress analysis tools, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) / S3D.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline environment and manage complex projects.

  • Travel required, with mobility greater than 25%.
