Job description

Ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and demeanor, the ability to multi-task, outgoing friendly personality, and great customer service skills over the phone and in-person
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Setting up and operating surveying equipment like theodolites, levels, and GPS units.
  • Measuring distances and angles using established surveying techniques.
  • Placing stakes and markers to denote property boundaries.
  • Reading and calling out measurements to the surveyor.
  • Assisting with collecting data points for topographic surveys.
  • Recording elevation changes and other relevant information
  • Recording data accurately in field notebooks.
  • Clearing brush and obstacles from survey lines
  • Carrying at least 25lbs at any given time
  • Writing cuts and fills on stakes
  • Actively always demonstrates teamwork.
  • Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting service deadlines.
  • Always adheres to company safety standards

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Mechanical aptitude to perform daily inspections on grease truck and yellow iron equipment.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to manage stress.
  • Must be available for work 4:30am-7pm Monday through Saturdays
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
