Job description

Talent Corps is now hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for an upcoming project in Bastrop, TX!


We are building our team now for a September start, so apply today to be considered for this opportunity.


Position: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Bastrop, TX
Start Date: September 2026
Job Type: Temporary/Project-Based with potential for additional work
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience


What You'll Do

  • Safely operate heavy construction equipment on an active jobsite
  • Operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and/or other heavy machinery
  • Perform grading, digging, loading, moving materials, and other sitework as directed
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues
  • Follow jobsite safety procedures and supervisor instructions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Work effectively as part of a construction crew


Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to safely operate assigned equipment
  • Construction/sitework experience preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation to the jobsite
  • Strong attendance and dependable work history
  • Must be safety-minded and willing to follow all jobsite requirements
  • Equipment certifications are a plus
