Job description

Construction Worker - Equipment Operator

JMR Construction is currently seeking an experienced Construction Equipment Operators with a Strong Work Ethic. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of construction knowledge and the ability to operate small to medium equipment used in site work.

Duties

  • Ability to operate various pieces of equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
  • Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality
  • Abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company and client safety procedures
  • Commit to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
  • Come each day ready to work as a team

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Skill to operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities
  • Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances
  • Ability and commitment to working safety
  • Attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done
  • Show abilities and willingness to learn and understand your role on the team

Physical Requirements

  • Bend and lift comfortably
  • Lift 50+ pounds
  • Sit for long periods while operating equipment
  • Ability to withstand physical labor in extreme weather conditions
  • Practice safety at all times including driving of company vehicles or use of equipment
  • Use PPE while on jobsite to include: hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, steel toe boots, pants, and gloves

Required

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
