Job description

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy civil construction projects
  • Manage job controls for contract, budget, schedule, forecasting, and job costing compliance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to complete work on time and under budget
  • Manage project engineering assignments and activities
  • Ensure compliance with company, contract, and schedule requirements
  • Provide technical support for construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, construction methods, design conflict resolution and documentation, and constructability reviews
  • Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and work-controlling documents
  • Represent the company, project, and/or department in client and project management meetings
  • Develop and maintain job reporting and logs
  • Supervise, direct, and mentor project staff
  • Work around large construction equipment and comply with safety requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience accepted
  • 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with AGTEK Take-off
  • Proficiency with Primavera Scheduling software
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards
  • In-depth understanding of interdependence and relationships between functional units
