Working Superintendent

Location: Victor, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Mondayโ€“Friday | Approx. 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:00 PM
Compensation: $65,000โ€“$90,000 annually, depending on experience and skillset

Curran Development Group is partnering with a reputable commercial construction firm in the Rochester and Western New York region to hire a Working Superintendent to join their field operations team.

This is a hands-on field leadership role ideal for an experienced construction professional who enjoys working alongside crews while also coordinating daily jobsite activity, supervising field staff and subcontractors, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

The Working Superintendent serves as an on-site leader and supports the successful execution of commercial construction and renovation projects by helping plan work, coordinate manpower and materials, communicate with project managers, and maintain safe, clean, and productive jobsites throughout the Rochester and Western New York region.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on construction experience preferred

  • Prior experience as a superintendent, foreman, lead carpenter, crew lead, or similar field leadership role preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise crews and coordinate subcontractors

  • Strong working knowledge of general construction means and methods

  • Experience with commercial construction, renovation, or light industrial projects preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Comfortable performing hands-on work while also leading and coordinating others

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

  • Ability to maintain a safe, organized, and professional jobsite

  • Basic computer skills, including email, photos, documentation, and scheduling tools

  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation required

  • OSHA certification preferred or willingness to obtain
