Job description

Division: Bruns Building & Development (St. Henry, OH)

Duties: Ideal candidate must prepare complete and accurate documents representing the scope of work and participate in bid reviews. The Estimator must also obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals for the scope of work.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing quantity take offs, vendor management, process order changes, negotiating contracts and being able to read and understand plans and project specifications. This individual will also be responsible for preparing submittals and attending pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with estimating industrial or commercial construction projects is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience working in the field on industrial or commercial construction projects would be an added bonus
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Accurately and efficiently perform quantity take offs
  • Price labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Assist Operations, Project Mgmt, Design, and Sales team as needed
