Job description

The statewide defense firm of Cole, Scott & Kissane is seeking a defense litigation paralegal with 5+ years of recent defense litigation experience for its Fort Lauderdale West (Plantation) office location. This candidate must be experienced in construction defect, and be an independent professional. This is an in office position 5 days a week.
This paralegal position will require someone with experience and knowledge of the preparation of discovery responses and objections, summarization of medical and other types of records, preparation of medical chronologies, ability to assist with large document production, ability to utilize Adobe/Abbyy for electronic production issues and other such litigation paralegal tasks. Familiarity with L & A codes, billing software, and proven ability to properly capture time and bill according to client guidelines in a timeley manner, a must. The ability to multitaks and stay calm under pressure of multiple deadlines is essential. Knowledge of case management systems is required, Imanage and Litify preferred. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, work well under pressue, and ahve a good attendance record.
