Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of construction defect litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to construction defect litigation.
3. Represent clients in court and argue motions, take effective depositions of lay and expert witnesses.
4. Consult with clients and advise on legal rights, obligations, and risks associated with construction defect litigation.
5. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to resolve complex construction defect disputes.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best legal service is provided.
7. Stay abreast of current trends, rulings, and advancements in construction law and litigation.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Must be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction law, litigation, defense, and insurance defense.
4. Proven experience in civil litigation and civil defense.
5. Extensive knowledge of general liability, motion practice, deposition, discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and draft legal documents.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
