The position will perform collaborative data analysis, interpretation, and reporting to provide sound business recommendations in support of a major utility company in San Diego. Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Performs data analysis in support of client's business needs 
  • Gathers relevant information, organizes and analyzes data looking for trends, patterns, and anomalies 
  • Utilizes multiple sources to compile and inspect accuracy of requested data 
  • Transforms data into usable format to presents data through written reports, metrics, and visual aids 
  • Track and report project status to internal and external customers 
  • Assist supervisors and other leads in coordinating strategic and operational meetings, and follow up with meeting notes 
  • Schedule project meetings with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Perform office administrative tasks 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics or equivalent training and/or experience  
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional analytic or closely related experience within utility, construction or similar industry preferred  
  • Ability to interpret data for trends, and quickly understand the business needs to draw conclusions and provide topics of discussion and solutions 
  • Utilizes data manipulation techniques while extracting, querying, and transforming data   
  • Ability to write and present client and efficient insights developed through analysis 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize completing responsibilities  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Solves problems within established policies and procedures 
  • Advanced in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Strong knowledge of Smartsheet, Power BI Dashboards 
  • Basic knowledge of reporting capabilities of SAP, ERPs, CRMs, and/or other databases. 
  • Experience with querying large datasets using data management software 
  • Query through utility customer data files using SQL to create program applications and reports 
  • Strong customer service skills and proactive follow-up (internal and external) 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Superior organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines 
  • Must be able to successfully pass background screening process 
  • The candidate must be eligible to work in the US
