Job description

Construction Estimator and Project Manager - Good attitude, aptitude for learning, hard worker, punctual and committed to 40 or more hours per week to write and run repairs after water and fire losses both in residential homes and commercial buildings.


Experience
  • Xactimate experience is desired
  • Knowledge of reconstruction is desired
  • Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, manage multiple subcontractors and customers
Responsibilities
  • Initial Customer Contact to schedule a walk through within 48 hours of receiving notice of loss
  • Take photos to document the work required and ITEL samples if needed to justify flooring quality
  • Write an Xactimate reconstruction estimate returned to Insurance carrier or Insured within 48 hours of walk through
  • Handle questions and rejections from Insurance carriers and or add change orders as requested from customer outside of Insurance work
  • Work with adjusters to justify work that is needed
  • Set a budget for the entire job including the individual trades
  • Set up draw schedule with customer based on the size of the job and collect in accordance with this agreement throughout the completion of the work
  • Update draws and total billing as changes arise during the job, requesting approvals from adjuster for any additional necessary work and updating the customer on the total amount due for work approved
  • Schedule subcontractor meetings and walk throughs to bid out the work and schedule work to be completed in appropriate order
  • Manage Purchase Orders and sub payments based on the budget and draw schedule previously set.
  • Do final walk through with customer to ensure quality work, customer satisfaction, get Completion Form signed.
  • Submit final forms and photos to insurance to get the remainder paid to customer and collect final payment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction or insurance repair
  • Multiple references from previous employers
  • Willingness to work overtime and after hours on an as-needed basis
  • Must have your own transportation and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods
  • Able to work in a team
  • Good with modern technology
  • Able to read instructions and blueprints when needed
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
