Job description

Full Time Construction Assistant

Location: Yonkers, NY

Hourly-Weekly basis pay

Pay range: $18.15/hr. - $19/hr. Based on Experience & Qualifications

Position Summary:

This is an entry-level position, where the team member will learn how to complete tasks independently and grow into a valuable member of the team.  Working with whatever materials necessary to make repairs and complete installations as capable and as necessary.  Cleaning and maintenance of the shop and refrigerated cases.  Assisting with other aspects of the department and or building as the Facilitator Manager sees fit. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entry level position;
  • Shop maintenance and assisting the Facilitator Manager with any building related tasks as necessary
  • Case cleaning and maintenance as necessary
  • Perform preventive maintenances’ on equipment ex: greasing, cleaning, changing v-belts.
  • Making repairs for equipment
  • Assisting the other disciplines of the department with their assigned work orders or PM’s
  • Working with the Facilitator Manager to maintain interior drains, floors drains.
  • Basic Carpentry projects, painting
  • Operating a snowplow
  • Subject to being On-Call and willing to work Overtime, Overnights on occasional weekends

Education and Experience (include knowledge, skills and abilities):

  • Entry level position;
  • Mechanical ability
  • Some knowledge of trades such as framing and or a mechanical aptitude.
  • Some familiarity with operation of power tools, shop tools.
  • Ability to acquire OSHA 10 Certification
  • Must have a Driver License
