Job Description

A Day in the Life 

THIS POSITION WILL SPECIFICALLY BE FOR THE "RECORDS STORAGE" DIVISION OF THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER, MANAGING 30,000+ BOXES OF RECORDS FOR MUNSON HEALTHCARE

  • Promotes and insures customer satisfaction through prompt identification and resolution of customer complaints, problems and issues. 
  • Receives customer requests by telephone, email or mail and analyzes request to determine best response. 
  • Maintains overall inventory control by physical/computerized MMIS using approved procedures for accurately processing orders, replenishments, returns, credits and inventory discrepancy resolution. 
  • Analyzes and correctly processes customer returns and credits based on policy and appropriateness of return. 
  • Works with supplier representatives to monitor consignment inventory (where applicable). 
  • Addresses inventory issues with department contact as appropriate. 
  • Performs cycle counts quarterly along with an annual inventory (or more frequently as required). 
  • Assists in special projects that relate to specific inventory location. 
  • Performs inventory balancing checks on a monthly basis and is responsible for results. 
  • Receives and/or processes customer order requisitions/forms to issue stock and create pick tickets if not system generated. Verifies the accuracy of order keying and disburses pick tickets as appropriate to ensure ability to meet customer order shipments. 
  • As applicable, reviews completed pick tickets to ensure they are properly filled in and all discrepancies noted. Communicates non-fills, backorders or shortages to the customer. 
  • As applicable, does follow-up on non-fills, backorders or shortages with the customer to make sure patient care outcomes aren't affected and communicates issues to appropriate people/areas. 
  • Helps set up new items, update current items, or remove inactive items from MMIS as needed. 
  • Utilizes inventory control information system to define reorder point parameters in support of assigned objectives. Routinely reviews reorder point parameters to adjust to changes in demand and/or supply. 
  • Creates, manages and updates requisition templates and PAR forms as needed. 
  • Conducts process for assurance of stock rotation as well as revision controlled inventory. 
  • Serves as a backup for, or assistant to, the Logistics Tech I with order pick processing when necessary to meet customer delivery requirements.  
Qualifications

What's Required  

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in business related field.  

OR 

  • High School or GED and minimum of 7years previous experience in a warehousing inventory control / materials planning environment or 5 years of experience in NMSA Supply Chain management.
