Job Description

This is a field-based position serving the York, PA area.

Job Description

As an Energy Technician II, you will be the front-line to clients as they receive services that make their homes safer and more comfortable - all while saving them money on their utility bills. This is not a sales position, nor are we an energy supplier/seller. Our team of passionate, skilled energy efficiency professionals work with local utility programs to deliver FREE Energy Conservation programs in our communities. Every day is a new adventure, a new puzzle to figure out and help solve. Through the work that we do, we are changing our customers lives, and our environment, for the better.

You're a great fit if you can...

  • Learn to conduct home energy assessments & evaluationsin customers' homes, which including entering attics, basements, crawl spaces & garages.
  • Record and report necessary data by electronic or manual methods to adhere to program requirements.
  • Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters.
  • Act as local, customer-facing program & company representative to customers to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers to energy savings.
  • Daily travel throughout a defined service territory, company vehicle provided.

Physical Demands/Requirements

  • Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Must be comfortable working in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) during certain times of the year for portions of the day.

Target Compensation:

$21.40/hour

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company.Individuals provided a conditional offer of employmentfor this position must successfully pass apost-offer, pre-employmentdrug testand consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
