ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Level 3 RN Endoscopy/GI Position

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM; on-call required for overnights and weekends.

Job Description

The Level 3 RN will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the Endoscopy/GI department. This role includes assessing patients' conditions, administering medications and sedation, monitoring vital signs, and assisting physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Answering patient questions and addressing concerns.
  • Observing and recording patient vital signs.
  • Sedating patients prior to procedures.
  • Recovering patients after procedures.
  • Administering necessary medication to patients.
  • Completing documentation including patient notes and discharge documents.
  • Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use.
  • Providing assistance to doctors during procedures.
  • Administering IV drips as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active NY State RN License.
  • BLS Certification (AHA ONLY).
  • ACLS Certification (AHA ONLY).
  • Minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy procedure experience.
  • Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification competency.
  • Experience with conscious sedation and expert IV insertion.
  • Ability to recover patients from general anesthesia.
  • Experience performing intake for GI procedures.
Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
