Connected Teletherapy involves providing mental health services via online platforms, often requiring specific telehealth training and licenses. While both roles may work remotely, Connected Teletherapy emphasizes online delivery, whereas LPCs may work in various settings including in-person clinics.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Connected Teletherapy provider, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Connected Teletherapy provider, you need a clinical degree or licensure in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field, along with experience in remote therapy practices. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, secure communication tools, and relevant documentation systems is essential. Strong communication, empathy, digital literacy, and the ability to build rapport remotely are standout soft skills in this position. These competencies ensure effective, ethical, and accessible mental health care for clients in a virtual environment.

How does a Connected Teletherapy clinician typically collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support client outcomes?

As a Connected Teletherapy clinician, you'll often work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, school administrators, and other therapists (such as occupational or speech-language therapists). Regular virtual meetings and secure communication channels are used to coordinate care plans, discuss client progress, and address any challenges. This collaborative approach ensures that each client receives comprehensive support tailored to their specific needs, and it also provides clinicians with valuable opportunities for professional development and knowledge sharing.

Job description

Psychiatrist Opportunity With Lyra Clinical Associates

Lyra Clinical Associates partners with Lyra Health, a leading provider of evidence-based mental health care, serving more than 20 million people globally in partnership with employers and more than 100 million through health plan and partner relationships. The company has delivered more than 15 million sessions of mental health care, published more than 35 peer-reviewed studies, and delivered unmatched outcomes in terms of access, clinical effectiveness, and cost efficiency. Lyra members have access to care in one day, and nine out of ten improve with the support of providers like you. Lyra is transforming access to life-changing mental health care through Lyra Empower, the only fully integrated, AI-powered platform combining the highest-quality care and technology solutions. You will be contracted by Lyra Clinical Associates.

Lyra's provider network is composed of in-person and virtual therapists, physicians, and coaches across the US. With our advanced matching technology, supportive provider platform, and opportunities for training and clinical consultation, being part of our network is an incredible chance to do what you love (like patient care) with support for the things you don't love (like self promotion and scheduling).

We are looking for contract psychiatrists who are passionate about whole-person, whole family mental health care and working within a connected network to provide patients with easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care.

As a contract psychiatrist, you'll provide evidence-based treatment via live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-up appointments. You'll conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management. Lyra makes it easy to refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services in tandem with your care.

You will provide care to individuals from a multitude of different backgrounds and experiences, as well as those with varying needs and abilities. We strive to continue to meet their unique needs by delivering culturally-responsive care—an approach that is mindful of the impact of cultural background on each person's care experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
  • Utilize proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions.
  • Foster a collaborative treatment environment, educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home.
  • Conduct virtual psychiatric sessions, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience, and leverage technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.
Requirements:
  • Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
  • Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required
  • Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
  • Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
  • Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance

Here are some of the advantages of joining the Lyra provider network:

  • Set your own schedule without a minimum hours requirement
  • Focus less on the administrative burden of billing with Lyra's paperless billing and quick payment turnaround
  • Access to a custom-built calendar for new patients to connect seamlessly
  • Access to experienced clinical consultations to get rapid support with your patients as well as access a range of specialty group consultation meetings
  • Have peace of mind with Lyra's 24/7 Care Navigation team for client crisis support
