Job Description Summary

The Parking Team Lead is responsible for Parking Associate supervision, parking lot management, identifying and resolving issues, and implementing Sporting Park and parking gameday policies and procedures. This position reports to the Manager of Guest Experience and will assist the Parking Captain, Manager and Coordinator of Guest Experience with delivering and enforcing the company's One Sporting Way Behaviors: Experience Obsessed, High Performance, Accountability, Integrity, and Club First.

Job Description

Associate Perks

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for supervision of Parking Associates and enforcing Sporting Park policies and procedures.

  • Provide information, assistance, and direction to guests and associates.

  • Coordinate and oversee Meridian Barrier setup and teardown.

  • Attend pre-game team briefings.

  • Oversee and coordinate event parking setup and supervise changeover from ingress to egress.

  • Coordinate, check-out, and keep track of necessary equipment such as radios, scanners, flags, flashlights, etc.

  • Apply conflict resolution, de-escalation, and mediation techniques to resolve guest and associate disruptions.

  • Notify management of all associate issues to help ensure that an accurate level of corrective action is received.

  • Assist associates to resolve parking lot issues.

  • Control traffic in designated areas as needed.

  • Understand, retain, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure guest and associate safety in case of an emergency.

  • Monitor all Parking Associates and ensure that all associates comply with proper uniform standards.

  • Document and report all worker's compensation incidents to management.

  • Engage routinely with Parking Associates throughout the course of each event to provide support and assistance as needed.

  • Confirm all required positions are covered and collaborate with the Parking Captain and other Team Leads as needed to adjust the staffing deployment.

  • Manage expectations and routinely communicate to the Parking Captain and peers.

  • Efficiently report any known accidents, possible threats, hazards, and harassment claims to management.

  • Acknowledge and recognize positive behavior and report to Manager or Coordinator for their awareness and recognition.

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety policies.

  • Assist management with new hire orientations during preseason and throughout the season.

  • Always represent Sporting Kansas City in a professional manner.

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate preferred.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or comparable experience.

  • Previous experience working in a public event venue or in a customer service role preferred.

  • Basic technology skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook and Connecteam scheduling application.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
