Job Title: Congregational Administrator (Full Time)

Reports to: Senior Minister

Supervises: One full-time Administrative Assistant and one part-time Facilities Assistant

Salary: $63,500 to $77,600 based on experience

FLSA: Exempt

Start date: August 18th, 2026

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville (UUCR) is seeking an organized, collaborative, and service-oriented Congregational Administrator to help lead the day-to-day operations of our vibrant, justice-centered faith community. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing people, processes, and purpose. As the Congregational Administrator, you will play a central role in ensuring that our congregation's business, administrative, and operational functions run smoothly while creating a welcoming and professional experience for members, visitors, and community partners.

The Congregational Administrator performs a wide variety of administrative and operational responsibilities requiring initiative, discretion, and strong organizational skills. The successful candidate is self-motivated, trustworthy, and comfortable prioritizing multiple responsibilities while working independently and collaboratively.

As one of the congregation's primary points of contact, the Congregational Administrator represents UUCR with warmth, professionalism, and respect. This position works closely with the clergy, staff, congregational leaders, volunteers, rental clients, and the public to support the mission and ministry of the congregation.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the congregation's operational and business affairs are conducted effectively, efficiently, and ethically. The Congregational Administrator also helps coordinate the smooth operation of the congregation in partnership with numerous committees, including Finance, Building & Grounds, and others.

Our ideal candidate is efficient in Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.), Quickbooks, ADP, and Canva. A knowledge of Unitarian Universalism is preferred but not required.
