Cognetic Technologies is a small software and systems engineering firm, headquartered in San Diego, CA, providing services to the Department of War (DoW).Our team supports Orion, the U.S. Navy’s enterprise DevOps environment, delivering capabilities to Naval organizations, including source code management, CI/CD pipelines, software security, testing environments, and agile project management tools.

Description

We are seeking a full-time Atlassian Confluence administrator and customer support technician to join our Orion team.The candidate will work in a collaborative and agile environment, supporting the migration and administration of Confluence spaces in the Orion environment.You will also engage Orion users through Jira tickets, determining and documenting requirements, and creating Confluence-based solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong Confluence administration expertise and possesses an active DoW secret security clearance.

Duties:
  • Create Confluence spaces with appropriate structure and templates.
  • Create unique layouts involving a wide variety of macros to display multimedia, tables, and custom navigation.
  • Create forms and data structures
  • Facilitate end users with space groups and permissions to support different use cases.
  • Export and import space content into different Confluence environments
  • Generate, analyze and transform customer requirements or challenges into specifications.
  • Maintain migration runbooks, templates, scripts, and lessons-learned documentation sufficient for other qualified administrators to execute the process.
  • Respond to trouble tickets involving Orion products and services utilizing Jira HelpDesk
  • Facilitate users with registration requests via Jira tickets
  • Escalate issues to higher tier if critical or technical solution requires DevOps intervention
  • Provide weekly status reports of customer interactions.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with developers and project management to receive direction and priority, share status, and represent technical subject matter expertise.
  • Share lessons learned with the Orion team.
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors of Science in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years of Atlassian Confluence administration and direct user support.
  • Deep expertise in standing up, maintaining, and administering Confluence spaces.
Other Requirements:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (mandatory)
  • Prior work with Navy or DoW enterprise applications (desired)
  • Fully Remote within the U.S.
  • Part of a small, collaborative team where everyone contributes across roles
  • Direct interaction with government PM and technical leads
Compensation:
  • $42-46 per hour (W2)
