We are looking for candidates for our four office locations: Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire, WI.


Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Utility Coordinator for highway construction projects, ensuring utility-related activities are effectively planned, coordinated, and executed throughout all project phases
  • Identify, track, and resolve utility conflicts involving water, sewer, stormwater, electric, gas, and telecommunications facilities
  • Collaborate with utility companies, contractors, engineers, municipalities, government agencies, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements
  • Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, utility maps, and construction documents to identify potential conflicts and develop effective solutions
  • Coordinate utility relocations, installations, and adjustments to support project schedules and minimize impacts to construction activities
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding utility coordination issues, permitting requirements, project risks, and stakeholder communications
  • Maintain accurate project records, utility agreements, permits, correspondence, and coordination documentation
  • Assist in resolving field issues and utility conflicts by working collaboratively with contractors, utility owners, and project managers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience utility coordination, civil engineering, infrastructure, transportation, construction, or a related industry
  • Knowledge of utility systems, including electric, gas, water, sewer, stormwater, and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Understanding of utility relocation processes, permitting requirements, and project delivery methods
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools; experience with GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings as required
