What is a Confined Space Rescue Team?

A Confined Space Rescue Team is a group of specially trained professionals responsible for performing rescues in confined spaces, such as tanks, silos, tunnels, or sewers, where there is limited entry or exit. These teams are equipped to handle emergencies involving hazardous atmospheres, restricted movement, and potential entrapment. Their primary goal is to safely extract individuals who may be injured, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to leave the confined space on their own. Team members are skilled in first aid, atmospheric monitoring, and the use of specialized rescue equipment. Confined space rescue is critical for compliance with workplace safety regulations and for protecting the lives of workers in high-risk environments.
