Senior Facets Product Configuration Lead

About the role
As a Senior Facets Product Configuration Lead, you will make an impact by leading product configuration, solution design, and implementation activities that enable accurate claims adjudication, benefits administration, and operational excellence for healthcare payer clients. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Payer team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, operations teams, architects, developers, and client partners.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead end-to-end product configuration and build activities within Facets and related payer platforms to support complex benefit and claims processing requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable configuration designs, technical solutions, and implementation roadmaps that drive operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Partner with business, operations, and technology teams to validate configuration outcomes, improve claims accuracy, and enhance member and provider experiences.
  • Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen system stability and reduce operational risk.
  • Mentor configuration specialists and technical analysts while establishing best practices, reusable standards, and documentation processes that support long-term platform success.

What you need to have to be considered
  • Proven experience in healthcare payer product configuration, benefits administration, and claims adjudication.
  • Strong expertise with Facets Technical and Facets Product Configuration Build.
  • Experience designing and implementing configuration solutions across healthcare payer platforms.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare payer operations, benefit structures, and claims processing workflows.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, solution design, testing, defect management, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, Microsoft SSIS, or related data and integration technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including stakeholder management, mentoring, and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to influence business and technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with Elements configuration and QNXT platforms.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements impacting payer operations.
  • Experience leading large-scale configuration initiatives in complex enterprise healthcare environments.

  • Passion for continuous improvement, automation, and driving measurable business outcomes.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
