We’re seeking a Data/Technical Data Manager to support critical Department of Defense programs right here at Hanscom Air Force Base. In this role, you will be at the heart of configuration and data control — managing technical baselines, governing change processes, and ensuring configuration documentation and deliverables are accurate, compliant, and fully traceable throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You’ll collaborate across engineering, program offices, and cross-functional teams to uphold CM plans and DoD standards that directly contribute to the readiness and effectiveness of defense systems and services.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage configurations of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes, and audits.
  • Develop and administer Configuration Management Plans and maintain CM files, status accounting records, and baselines.
  • Convene and manage Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Nuclear Configuration Control Boards (NCCBs), Technical Review
  • Boards (TRBs), and Data Requirements Review Boards (DRRBs).
  • Track and manage Change Requests (CRs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs), and Problem Reports (PRs).
  • Conduct and support audits including Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs).
  • Maintain the CM library and software repositories.
  • Support data calls, review CDRLs, monitor contractor compliance, and manage data item deliveries.
  • Ensure configuration control for IT systems, including planning, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Provide QA checks, licensing support, and packaging/delivery of software.
  • Support baseline integrity including major/minor releases and patches.
  • Review and analyze contractor CM programs and data submissions for compliance and completeness.
  • Provide CM/DM input to acquisition documentation (SOWs, SOOs, PWSs).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD regulations and data policies (e.g., DoDI 5230.24, DFARS 252.227-7013, ASSIST).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required
  • U.S. Citizen

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance

  • DoD configuration management experience.

  • Experience with HW/SW configuration audits and CM tools.

  • Strong understanding of change control processes and SDLC.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and database/data entry tools.

    The annual salary range: $120k - $130k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
