Description

Markon is seeking a Configuration Manager Level 2 to support the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems for the Fort Meade Customer. This role provides configuration management support across the system lifecycle while assisting with the integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies. The position supports system reliability, configuration control, and operational readiness for mission-critical communications and technology environments.

Responsibilities
  • Support configuration management activities throughout the system lifecycle, including baseline management, change control, and configuration audits
  • Assist in the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systems
  • Maintain system configuration documentation, engineering baselines, and technical records
  • Support the integration of COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Track and manage system changes to ensure configuration integrity and compliance with established processes
  • Assist with system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment activities
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and program teams to support system integration efforts
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and related documentation
  • Support technology refresh and modernization initiatives
  • Ensure system configurations are accurately documented and maintained throughout operational deployment
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with ths customer 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • 14+ years of experience in configuration management, systems integration, systems engineering, or related technical disciplines
  • Experience with configuration management processes, change management, and baseline control
  • Experience supporting the design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of packet-based systems
  • Experience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutions
  • Experience maintaining engineering documentation, configuration records, and technical baselines
  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes and configuration management best practices
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused technical environment
Salary RangeUSD $80,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
