The Configuration Management and Data Management (CMDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CMDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers.

The Effectors Configuration Management department is looking for an individual to perform the role of Senior Configuration Analyst.

This position is Onsite in Tucson, Arizona. 


What You Will Do

  • This job posting is for a 4/10 schedule supporting ten-hour shifts Thursday – Sunday.

  • Execute Configuration Verification Activities: Oversee execution of CM processes, including identification, control, verification, and status accounting for systems and equipment, with a focus on ensuring accurate configuration data through tools like Product Data Management (PDM) and the Common As Built System (CABS).

  • Utilize PDM, PRISM and CABS for Configuration Accuracy: Leverage PRISM to manage program data and CABS to validate as-built configurations against design baselines in PDM, ensuring alignment with organizational and contractual requirements. This includes conducting detailed comparisons, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected in the product configuration throughout the lifecycle.

  • Execute Configuration Management Processes: Perform CM activities, including identification, control, verification, and status accounting for systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to contractual and organizational requirements.

  • Change Implementation Support: Implement changes to engineering documents for assigned programs and contribute to the adoption of common processes across functional teams.

  • Coordinate Engineering Changes: Review and analyze released engineering change data, and collaborate with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and data control teams to ensure seamless implementation of changes.

  • Participate in Configuration Audits: Assist in conducting configuration audits, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure compliance with CM plans, command media, and contractual obligations.

  • Maintain Product Baselines: Establish and maintain accurate product baselines while ensuring data consistency and integrity across systems and tools.

  • Provide Cross-Functional CM Support: Support engineering, operations, and supply chain teams in configuration and change control activities, contributing to overall program success.

  • Collaborate on Process Improvement: Work with team members to identify opportunities for improving CM processes and tools, contributing to the continuous advancement of CM practices across the organization.

  • Develop CM Knowledge and Skills: Build expertise in CM tools, processes, and industry standards through hands-on experience and training opportunities, preparing for increased responsibilities over time.

  • Contribute to Program Health: Support program health metrics by ensuring CM activities are completed on time and in alignment with program schedules, helping to meet key deliverables and milestones.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires A University Degree (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline) or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, Configuration Management experience preferred. In lieu of a degree 6 years of professional experience, Configuration Management experience preferred.

  • Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • General knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles using configuration management policies, procedures, and tools

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies

  • Ability to identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed

  • Experience reviewing data and/or processing documentation/records

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
