Job description

Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre is located in central Canmore. 


We are seeking a Full-time Banquet Server - AM/PM Shift.


We don't have an approved LMIA for this position. The position is available for applicants with a valid work status in Canada & We can support Francophone Mobility program 


Objective:

To contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing superior customer service and upholding quality standards for banquet operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, service and clean up banquet events
  • Provide customer service through the completion of routine duties and tasks such as taking, relaying, and serving food and/or beverage orders, providing food and/or beverage product knowledge, managing reservations, handling cash, cheques, credit, and debit card transactions in accordance with Hotel Policies.
  • Adheres to quality and industry standards when completing tasks.
  • Follows all grooming and uniform guidelines.
  • Acts as an Ambassador to the hotel including greeting guests, making them feel welcome, and handling basic inquiries.
  • Ensure health and safety practices and WCB regulations are followed.
  • Demonstrates a customer service attitude with internal/external contacts.
  • Stock supplies, fold napkins, roll cutlery and clean facilities as required.
  • Other tasks as required, including the restaurant if needed

Education & Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for one year of banquet experience.
  • Must be able to work within a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Resourceful and creative with the ability to work well under pressure and in changing situations.
  • Team player, flexible and energetic.
  • Demonstrated excellence in guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Pro Serve Mandatory
