Job description

Burke Mountain is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Conference Services Manager to plan and execute exceptional group meetings, conferences, and special events. This role serves as a key liaison between the sales team and hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding guest experiences from initial contract through event completion.

Event Planning & Execution:
  • Coordinate all group logistics from contract signing through final departure
  • Prepare detailed event resumes, banquet event orders (BEOs), and rooming lists with accuracy
  • Oversee onsite event execution, proactively resolving operational or weatherrelated challenges
  • Conduct site inspections and lead preconvention meetings with clients and internal teams
  • Revenue & Financial Management:
  • Identify upselling opportunities for food, beverage, audiovisual services, and seasonal resort activities
  • Review and approve final group billing statements prior to client departure
  • Forecast group revenue and maintain historical data to support future bookings
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Partner closely with culinary, banquet, front desk, and ski operations teams
  • Communicate group details, VIP needs, and schedule changes on a daily basis
  • Coordinate with thirdparty vendors for rentals, décor, and entertainment services
  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: 23 years of experience in hotel catering, conference services, or event coordination
  • Technical Skills: Experience with hotel sales and catering systems, property management software, and event diagramming tools
  • Availability: Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak winter holiday periods
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage logistics in a dynamic mountain resort environment, including changing weather conditions
