TITLE: Conference Operations Supervisor

LOCATION: Snowbird

STATUS: Full-time,Year-round,Hourly

SCHEDULE: Variable

  • Shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demand.

  • Schedule may change frequently due to event modifications, guest requests, or operational needs.

  • Must be flexible to accommodate last-minute changes, extended hours, and fluctuating event schedules.

SUMMARY

As a Conference Services Supervisor, you will oversee the daily execution ofconference,meeting,banquet, and specialeventset up across the resort. This role supervises Conference Set Up Leads and Set Up Crew, ensuring all events are executed accurately according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Conference Operations standards, and Snowbird health and safety guidelines. The Conference Services Supervisor plays a key role in staffing,scheduling,training, equipment oversight, and cross-department coordination to support exceptional guest experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Responsible for the correct placement of tables, chairs, water services, etc., and supervise the daily operations of the Conference Services Set Up team, including Leads and Crew Members.

  • Ensure meeting rooms, event spaces, and outdoor venues are set accurately and on time according to Banquet Event Orders and client specifications.

  • Conduct room inspections before, during, and after events to ensure quality, safety, and attention to detail.

  • Communicate closely with Conference Services, Kitchen, Banquets, clients and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.

  • Oversee the proper use, care, inventory, and storage of Conference Operations equipment and assets.

  • Ensure conference areas, storage rooms, and staging areas remain clean, organized, and meet departmental standards.

  • Identify damaged or missing equipment and report repair or replacement needs.

  • Assign tasks, adjust staffing levels, and support daily scheduling based on event volume and operational needs.

  • Oversee the completion of daily office tasks essential for the success of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including updating BEOs with changes.

  • Assist with payroll, including adjusting and approving staff hours and running weekly reportsthrough Workday.

  • Support hiring,onboarding, and trainingprocesses, procedures, and communication.

  • Overseethe ordering, inventory, and budgeting of linen.

  • Lead by example with a positive attitude while enforcing Snowbird policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Respond professionally and efficiently to last-minute event changes and guest requests.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;2-4years of experience in hospitality, administration, or a related field is preferred;education can be substituted.

  • Previous supervisory experience in a labor-intensive or operations-focused role.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct teams in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Self-sufficient and motivated to lead oneself and team.

  • Ability to readand comprehendBanquet Event Orders, diagrams, and room layouts.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Advanced computer experience with Excel and Word.

  • Ability to prioritize,manage multiple tasks, and meet rigid deadlineswithin a fast-paced work environment.

  • Possess the ability to work well as a team and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Food Handlers Permit required.

  • Valid driver's license required.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Shifts vary based on business levels and event demand and may include weekends, holidays, early mornings, or late evenings.

  • Scheduling is driven by conference and banquet volume and guest needs.

  • Flexibility is required due to frequent schedule and event changes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be prepared to stay overnight at the resort during occasional road closures.

  • May experience stress related to high-volume eventsand changing guest requests.

  • Must be able to lift50-75 lbs.

  • Stress may occur due to tight timelines, large-scale events, physical work, andcloseattention to detail.
