Job Description
Summary
The conference producer is responsible for developing conferences, courses and webinars for the energy industry. The right candidate will be responsible for identifying potential topics and speakers, conducting market research on viability of topics, and developing the training programs, including content creation for professionals in the energy industry. The position involves both gathering information and recruiting key energy industry figures. The conference director will also manage the events onsite, which will occasionally involve out-of-town travel.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify the training topics and requirements that will inform the design of professional development programs
  • Translate research into commercially-viable conference curriculum
  • Interview key energy industry figures through phone and e-mail to determine validity of proposed topics, programs, timing, and location
  • Identify and recruit appropriately qualified content experts to address topics on program agenda
  • Identify and pursue partnership and sponsorship opportunities
  • Manage meeting logistics on-site
  • Serve as a company representative within the industry
  • Coordinate program design and implementation details with dedicated in-house marketing staff

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Experience in the energy industry preferred
  • Past experience in program development preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Some travel required
  • Position is in Denver. Local candidates preferred. Not a remote position.
