The KPMG Bay and Adelaide Centre, Toronto office is looking for a Host/Hostess to provide reliable, quick, and efficient support to the Conference Centre. The chosen candidate must be a team player and able to provide superior quality client service. The goal is to achieve excellence in client service related to the conference centre by fostering a rewarding environment for both clients and staff.


What you will do
  • Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the practice floor serveries (cleaning and replenishing the coffee machines, loading the dirty mugs and glasses in the dishwashers, provide adequate supplies etc.)
  • Assist in ordering and receiving weekly coffee and kitchen supply orders; cross reference all supplies were shipped, and packed away.
  • Responsible for the reporting for maintenance of their assigned floors (coffee machines, dishwashers, meeting rooms, Servery areas, fridges etc.).
  • Clean & maintain meeting rooms (remove catering orders, wipe tables, chairs, credenzas, whiteboards, remove used flipchart paper and report room deficiencies to supervisor).
  • Set up and execute food and beverage services for all scheduled meetings and/or events.
  • Maintain and clean meeting rooms according to booking requirements (set-up food, clear etc.).
  • Physical work involved i.e., standing for long periods of time, pushing servery carts and lifting up to 50LBs/requires wearing comfortable footwear.

At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.


What you bring to the role
  • High school diploma.
  • Diploma in hospitality or similar is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in the hospitality or customer service sector.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to set priorities.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook (an asset).
  • Be available in the morning, afternoon and occasionally in the evening. (Opening hours 6:30am to 3:00pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm).
  • Smart Serve Certified an asset
  • Be punctual and reliable.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $38,000 to $52,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicantโ€™s base salary within this range is based on the individualโ€™s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
