Job Summary

The Meeting and Events Planning Manager is responsible for the coordination of all conference group related activities and will act as the primary liaison between the group and the staff of managed meeting space. They are the primary contact to schedule room reservations for managed spaces. They assist with booking, room configurations, any needed presentation supplies and AV needs. They are key to ensuring conferences and events go smoothly and seamlessly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephones and makes reservations for clients.
  • Plans for use of the conference center.
  • Communicates to operating departments including Conference Services, Catering, and Audio Visual as needed.
  • Finalizes all planning details with clients and distributes to all operating departments.
  • Checks all conference rooms and ensures Audio Visual equipment are set according to customer standards before client arrives.
  • Provides business center services when requested.
  • Tracks information in the database and runs end of day reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of planning experience.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and share information with staff.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
