Job description

As a Business Development Conference & Events Associate, you will be responsible for maximizing the return on investment from the company's conference and event marketing initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between Marketing, Business Development, Consulting, and Executive Leadership to ensure event-generated opportunities are effectively captured, nurtured, and converted into revenue.
The ideal candidate combines business development, event marketing, project management, and client relationship management expertise to create exceptional experiences before, during, and after every event while driving measurable pipeline growth and client acquisition. This position requires up to 50% travel to support conferences, client events, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute conferences and client events that support business development objectives and revenue growth.
Collaborate with Marketing and Executive Leadership to identify conferences, sponsorship, and event opportunities.
Develop event strategies designed to maximize lead generation, pipeline, client engagement and revenue opportunities.
Coordinate meetings and introductions between prospective clients and Business Development Consultants before, during, and after events.
Partner closely with business development teams to ensure event-generated leads receive timely follow-up and progress through the sales pipeline.
Monitor lead conversion and hold team accountable for follow-up activities and pipeline advancement.
Track and report performance using CRM tracking, ROI reporting, and pipeline metrics, including appointments, opportunities generated, pipeline created, revenue influenced, and overall event ROI.
Serve as a client-facing representative at conferences and events, managing relationships with prospects, executives, and high-touch event experiences.
Manage all event logistics, including vendors, sponsorships, booth operations, executive schedules, timelines, and budgets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field required.
3+ years of experience in business development, conference sales, event marketing, strategic events, or B2B sales preferred.
Experience within professional services, consulting, SaaS, managed services, or other B2B advisory organizations preferred.
Proven track record of managing conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, or corporate events that generate measurable business results.
Strong understanding of sales pipelines, lead management, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
Experience working with executive leadership and client-facing teams.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Strong communication, organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Experience coordinating executive schedules, client meetings, and multiple concurrent projects.
Highly competitive, self-motivated, and driven by achieving organizational goals.
High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
Experience working in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.
Receptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and other business applications.
